![]() In other words, if you’re lucky enough to find yourself standing, jaw agape, in front of the 120-inch Sharp AQUOS LED at the CES next week, you probably shouldn’t take its performance as representative of the more mainstream, living room-friendly models that will make up the core of the AQUOS XLED range.Īnyone looking to hunt down Sharp’s new Mini LED monster at the CES 2023 should note that the brand has taken up residence this year in the Petrus Ballroom at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel (3131 LAss Vegas Boulevard), rather than taking up its traditional floor space in the Las Vegas Convention Centre. Both Sharp's website and my manual say that it is possible to enter 'dot by dot' mode for PC use, but when I have my computer hooked up to the display (to the HDMI port since it is the only port available to hook a computer into) I am not given any options for this in either the 'HDMI input setup' or the 'View mode' menu. The Sharp 8M-B120C has a 120-inch VA-type display panel with a size of 2,657.2 mm and a height of 1,494. ![]() The only extra thing we can say for certain is that as usual with Sharp’s king-sized CES screens, the 120-inch AQUOS XLED display is actually openly described as a ‘prototype’ that doesn’t carry a built-in tuner and is pitched as being suitable for digital signage or public viewing displays in commercial facilities as well as home theater duties. Sharp has launched the industrys largest 8K display. I ran across the 3 sharp 1080p lcd tv's where the description contains: 'View Modes: Sidebar, Smart Stretch, Stretch, Zoom, Dot by Dot (for PC)' for the Sharp LC-45GD6U, LC-45GD4U, and LC-45GX6U The Dot by Dot sounds like it means that it will take a pc resolution of 1920x1080 without scaling.
